Duh. You only just figured that out?

Insomniac and ND don't waste development time on the PSP. That's for High Impact and Ready at Dawn (who are MUCH better than High Impact).

ND > Insomniac >>>>>>> RaD >>>>>> High Impact

Insomniac are better lawl.

To be fair PSP doesn't interest me much so I don't pay a lot of attention to who does what development work on that platform. And as I no longer have a PS2 (nor a b/c PS3) I only noted the release of J&D in passing and didn't look too closely at the developer details.

The key consideration here isn't so much the platform on which the game has been released, but rather whether Lost Frontier is the next entry in the main series of the franchise. If yes then this may be ND handing off the entire series to a lesser developer, if no then I may beworried over nothing. The one bright spot is that High Impact have not been allowed to put the franchise on the PS3, yet. As opposed to Crash where PS2 games were handed off during the PS2's hey day. OTOH it may be that Jak is forever consigned to spin-off games, on lesser platforms, by inferior developers and will never come to the PS3

Wow a Sony fan without a PS2. Isn't that like a Nintendo fan who hates Mario? Not having a PS2 is pretty much unforgivable considering it is the greatest system of our lifetimes. Oh and don't tell me you played all the game already.

Naughty Dog did say they want to bring Jak to PS3, but, c'mon, would you have wanted a Jak game sooner if it meant a lower quality Uncharted 2? They've got other products they're working on, and they'll get it when, and if they get the chance.

lol, just imagine Jak being on PS3 with an M rating... it'd be like GTA. Kinda like how Jak II was similar to GTA.... maybe even better.. but, not better than San Andreas.

Who cares?
Zipper Interactive originally developed Socom, but then Slant Six developed Socom Confrontation for the PS3.

Does that mean Zipper is done with Socom? Probably not. The new "unannounced" Zipper game that was recently reported might just be another Socom game.

Get where i'm going with it? Not exactly about Jak, but it relates to what you said in your OP.
