the legend of zelda music is awesome, i remember when i first fought the final battle in ocarina of time, the music gave me chills...so epic.

The amazing part is actually that it seems to have music that barely anyone dislikes. Most games with brilliant soundtracks are hated by some.
And I think I'm a bit of a video-game music lover. My top 20 games are pretty much all in my top 25 favourite soundtracks.
I tend to waste a lot of time just running around, listening to the music, in Zelda games. I once didn't want to kill the boss, as I wanted to hear the end of the soundtrack.
I'll have to give TP another go, but from what I remember, I'd probably agree on its soundtrack being weaker than its predecessors. The awesome thing about OoT was it had music integrated into the story... I wonder if we'll ever see that again.
Anyway, onto the awesome Zelda music. Zelda II tends to get overlooked, so check it:
I just noticed Koji Kondo didn't work on this one. It's still awesome, though - I was glad they used the Palace theme in Smash Bros, it's a perfect fit.
Good Zelda music has been limited to a one or two songs per game. Contrast with Mario music by the same composer, where nearly all of it has been good. EDIT: And this is solely my opinion; you are almost certain to disagree.
All good Zelda songs:
Zelda I - Overworld
Zelda II - Temple
Zelda Lttp - Dark World
Ocarina of Time - Kokori Forest, Lost Woods, Gerudo Valley, Hyrule Field, Windmill Hut
Majora's Mask - None
Wind Waker - Dragon Roost Island, Great Sea
Twilight Princess - None
Minish Cap - None
Awakening - None
Oracle of Something - None
Phantom Hourglass - None
SMB - Overworld, Underworld, Water, Ending
SMB2 - Overworld, Ending
SMB3 - Overworld 1 and 2, Castle, Water, Boss Battle, Hammer Bros, Ending
SMW - Title, Overworld 1 and 2, Castle, Ghost House, Cave, Water, Castle, Ending
SM64 - Princess Peach's Castle, Jolly Roger Bay, Slide, Cool Cool Mountain, Bowser Levels, Ending
SMS - Delfino Plaza, Bonus Levels, Bianco Hills
SMG - Observatory, Star Festival, Ghostly, Gusty Garden, Good Egg, Buoy Base, Dusty Dune, Melty Molten, Ending
SML - World 1
SML2/3 - None
NSMB - Overworld 1/2, Castle

Lol, that list is obviously terribly based on your personal opinion, I doubt a lot of people would agree with you that those bolded games contain no good songs at all. XD And while you're of course entitled to your own personal preference, it's sort of a widely accepted common knowlegde that those games, and MM, LA and TP in particular contain, in fact, terribly good music. :) If you don't agree that's alright, but in the vast majority of people's opinion, they do.

Zelda has had many great soundtracks and many great songs.
I expect Zelda Wii's music to be of the same high standard as Brawl and Galaxy, and fully orchestrated.
