I never played these games before the collection came out and I must say they are pretty bad ass.

Now to the question. I just beat God of War 1 and when i start a new game none of my old stuff carries over. Now is this because i am not doing something right or nothing carries over.

I ask because i want to finish upgrading all my stuff, and if i start over it would take forever again and at the end when that Chick gives you those new blades. Why would they give you them if you can not use them.

So when i started a new game i looked and the water thing i got was there, and the feathers and eyes, but the magic meter and health are not up.

The stuff don't carry over. It's 2 different games. You wil have to play GOW 2 from begining and get the stuff for it.

If you play it on a different difficulty, nothing will carry over.

In fact, I think even if you play it on the SAME difficulty, nothing will carry over.

You can use them in Challenge of the Gods, however.

Is Challenge of the gods the God mode because i tried that and when i started a new game it was the same, nothing carried over.

I was really hoping that it would carry over so i could beat it in under 5 hours and finish the upgrades. I beat it in 5 hours 8 minutes, i blame those stupid knife things u have to climb, that took seriously a half hour between the two, i kept getting knocked off.

To the person who replied first, i am not talking about God of War 2, i was talking about replaying 1 again.

And is 2 better then 1.

1) No, Challenge of the Gods is Challenge of the Gods. God mode is the hardest difficulty.

2) Knife things? I don't remember, but then I haven't played the game in three and a half years.

Sorry didn't mean to say knife thing. When your in Hadies and you have to climb the pillars with the blades on them that spin and you have to make it to the top without getting hit.

I found the Challenge of the Gods and i suck at it.

Why would weapons carry over when they are different weapons?

I am not talking about God of war carrying over to God of War 2.

I am talking about beating God of War 1 then replaying 1 and having everything you beat it with when you start a new game.

Kind of like when you beat Resident Evil

Yeah there is no "New Game+" if that's what you mean in GOW1.
