Yeh but just because the people who visit this site say something does not actually make it so.

Trying to say that a game is AAA based on metacritic is extremely problematic. First of all, metacritic randomly chooses whatever reviews they feel like choosing. Secondly, the number of reviews used varies from game to game. You can imagine why this would create huge problems.

Here's a list of REAL AAA games this gen. which are not so according to Metacritic:

Fable II

Left 4 Dead

Dead Space

Demons Souls

Resident Evil 5

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune

Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction

In conclusion, Metacritic can stick it.

Why do you find L4D(2) fun? I find it to be an extremely dull game.

I just wish they had made it an expansion for the first game...it only has more content and nothing else changed in a year, it's even made on the same old source engine. I'm thinking of picking up the first one since it got some serious price drop when L4D2 came out.

I agree, all you do is shoot zombies. It's so boring, and feels like a source engine mod that a couple university students could have made. I hope Valve actually tries on their next game. L4D2 should have a been a $10 expansion because all you get is a few new maps and guns. Everything else is the same.

I think what Naughty Dog did with Uncharted2 in 2yrs is more impressive.

Valve is one of the best, but I think your being a tad fanboyish right there.

Actually you bringing up Uncharted 2 and Naughty Dog in a thread about l4D2 is being "fanboyish".   They have nothing to do with this thread. 

OT:  I hope it stays up there, Valve is one of the best developers of all time and deserves all of the accolades they get.   I own the first one and have yet to play it but I will, and if I like it maybe I'll get the second one.
