It is same here in Malaysia. Everyone here thinks PS3 >>>> X360 from graphics, games, online and everything. Only thing better for X360 is modded ver and cheap games. PS3 games price was insane. RM 180 - RM 300 ($60 - $90)

Very funny Sony, how about PS3 games at a reasonable price, uhn? I have to import every single one of mine. PS2 launching is not a big deal, most of the people with money already have PS2 here. And PS3 is common in stores, but at a hideous price given the fact it's imported. Big news would be the launch of PS3 and PSN Store, thisd would cheer me up.

it shouldn't be such a big news, the PS2 is legally sold here since launch, the "news" is that now it's Sony that is bringing them here and not Synergex (who used to import it). what is really ridiculous is that it's more expensive in their store than buying it in retail (legally)

PS2 market is oversaturated already. Everybody does have one - there is 5 to 8m PS2s in Brazil according to estimates - and people are waiting for a reasonable-priced PS3 (actually they are awaiting for modded PS3s).

Overall Sony consoles are ridiculously strong here in Brazil. PSP is far more popular than DS and even if X360 is officialy sold here for three years now or so, and the Wii is the most popular console everywhere else, I bet imported PS3 numbers double these two put together...
