PS2 market is oversaturated already. Everybody does have one - there is 5 to 8m PS2s in Brazil according to estimates - and people are waiting for a reasonable-priced PS3 (actually they are awaiting for modded PS3s).
Overall Sony consoles are ridiculously strong here in Brazil. PSP is far more popular than DS and even if X360 is officialy sold here for three years now or so, and the Wii is the most popular console everywhere else, I bet imported PS3 numbers double these two put together...
