the game mechanics do not look bland to me

no FF battle system has ever been this cinematic, coupled with one of the best battle themes & boss themes to grace the series FF13's gameplay looks top notch!

Final Fantasy XIII is far more cinematic than any Final Fantasy battle system to date. That's not even a question.

True. This game looks amazing. I think it was overshadowed by mighty FFXIII.
