lol theese guys are retarded, theres no way you can get full contrast with component. and they claim to not use full because they want "out of the box settings." which is a load of bull

lol what does "out of the box settings" mean?

God, I hate screen-tearing. =( It's part of the reason I gave up on AC1 - the tearing made me feel sick.

it means they refuse to change any settings, if its prompted to change the brightness before the game starts theyll change the brightness if not theyll complain on how dark it is.

These multiplayer comparisons are laughable. There's never any significant differences in my opinion. The HD twins always offer the same experience on multiplatforms.

Ugh this is tiring.... Especially with the test settings. They say they want to get out of the box settings, but people use these results as the final word. Thus, why not make sure things like brightness/contrast and HDMI settings (RGB full for example) are set?

The PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2 looked great on our HDTV and a little tweak of the brightness gave a nice difference from great colors to adding that grayish look as the cost of being able to see more in dark areas.

if your using HDMI cables just look at the background and switch between RGB limited and full and look at the difference.

not 100% true, but the differences are usually so small the controller preferences and if you are going to play online with friends should outweight any other factor.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Turn V sync on, seriously I would take a game with no tearing with 0 AA over a game with 4 AA + nasty tearing.

I'm too used to graphics cards coparisons where they play the game in a variety of settings. I.e. changing resolution or AA.

I guess it's too much to do both an out of box and also a best settings comparison.

Also do they describe where they get some of the clips from and what they're of? In some cases PS3 has more tearing and some cases X360 have more tearing... but what's more important is how much time you spend in each environment.

The Xbox version was bound to be marginally better. Its got a more powerful GPU.

But seriously to all the haters its real marginal. Screen tears dont look pretty but they are a lot better than a reduction in fps.

The two game will look and play very similarly just dont put the two consoles side by side.
