Shows you, and any developer that thinks that, aren't an artist. Talent matters, not the tools. And in the end, it's often the smaller, quirky games that are considered closer to art, not the big games.
so youre going to slap ND in the face because Uncharted isnt small and quirky its not real art.
It's not art. It's an adventure game. It's entertaining according to those who play it, but it's not art.
so movies arent art either right? and neither are paintings, just merely entertaining to look at?
Twisting my words. I clearly commented, in a comment quoted in this train no less, that games can be art. You just mentioned the one game, and I respoded to that. So that question is false because it supposes a point I didn't make.
art by definition: the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions.
Being an artist myself am a little offended, Im making a point. All games in their own right is a work of art just some not as good as others, from the story of the Halo games to the visuals of uncharted to the music in Mario. And watching the interviews with how much time and energy is spent on something like theese its a little dissapointing.

1) There are a lot of conflicting definitions of art, and I didn't know you meant that one.
2) I find that one funny because that includes Michael Bay, as appealing to the senses and emotions is one thing that can't be denied about his movies. Suck on that, haters!
3) That still relies on talent. The tools are still in the Wii. If you need to use all of them at once, as on the HD systems, that's not artistic vision but ambition.
And the Wii is closer to Paint.net versus Photoshop. The PS1 is MS Paint. Although MS Paint art can still be impressive. Ever see the car drawing video? I can find the link if you want.
