So yeah basically I wanna buy a game based on surround sound for my PS3. All games tout graphics but I want a game that can also push the limits of the PS3 in terms of sound. So what is the best game in terms of sound design specifically looking at it from a surround sound perspective?

I think the first level of MGS4 is pretty epic for sound, with a fullscale war going on as you sneak through it. Killzone 2 comes to mind as well as being pretty epic with explosions and bullets wizzing by.

i think you should buy uncharted 2 or MGS4, specially uncharted 2
i don't know if u like these games but these are great games for ur home theater system

Batman: Dark Asylum. It does this thing where it pings all your speakers every time you start it up. I thought it was cool. :P

Fallout 3 is also very good with surround sound, because you can tell where the gunshots are coming from, and where the mines are beeping from.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has the best audio so far imo.

Warhawk easily, I've had a 5.1 set ever since I got my 60gb at launch, and Warhawk is by far the most impressive sounding game.

Uncharted 2... Uncharted is always the best! Which is convenient as it seems to be your only PS3 game

The best way to show it off would be with a blu-ray, Band of Brothers on DVD was the thing which really showed off the surround sound, so I imagine it would be even better on blu-ray.

Definitely Metal Gear Solid 4.

I have my PS3 on lay-by, Uncharted 2 was bundled for free so yeah it's my only game I'm committed to buying :P

I'm planning on picking up MW2 and may GT5: P, NFS: Shift or some other racing game and I wanted to get another two lower priced games along with that. Batman, MGS4, KZ2 and InFamous are games I was looking at but I thought I'd ask about sound design as I'd like a game with really good sound design.

100% killzone2 or uncharted 2.. the music score are both epic..
