Forums - Gaming - GH3 gets it's first patch...

so apparently the 360 version is getting a patch on tuesday through xbox live to add offline multiplayer to the game, while there is no mention of a wii or PS3 patch.

This is really the reason most people buy this game, is to play with and against friends, if it's not in the wii version I simply will not be getting it.

also they are kind of screwing over all the people who don't play online and their biggest fan base, the PS2 owners...

huh? guitar hero doesn't have offline multiplayer?

does this count for the Wii and PS3 versions too?

if so, then there's no way I'm buying it

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

it has an offline multiplayer career mode, but no quick play like in GH2 according the the article, which is just ridiculous...

oh yeah, for your thread title: it's "its", not "it's". "Guitar Hero gets its first patch"

So there is no Versus multiplayer in the Wii version? Just campaign co-op?

that's the way it appears snesboy, unless they already fixed the wii version so no patch is needed, but I doubt that. we'll have to wait til someone gets it and can confirm or deny this.

@natedog4000

Thanks much!! Doesn't matter to me anyways. As long as I can rock the world in some way, shape, or form with my friend, then that is fine by me.

Also, Target has a deal on GH3 in which you buy the game w/guitar and get a second guitar FREE!!!!! I have not confirmed this but it certainly sounds like a sweet deal. The bundle costs $90USD.

^^^Sorry about that but I wanted to tell someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!^^^^^^^^^^

wow thats bullcrap of course the game has offline multiplayer, all the otherones had ir!!!

thanks for the heads up, snesboy.  I'm still debating with myself whether to get it or not.  usually a few friends and I play verus and pass the quitars around, which isn't doable in co-op.  I'm also debating whether I should finally break down and get a 360 and then get rockband in nov...

I'm considering just getting the PS2 version of GT3, but I'm hoping they release an update or an adaptor that finally completely works with the old PS2 guitars so I can use it for the PS3 game (rock band as well).  The PS3 version of Rock Band is the only one that has a wireless guitar so I'm going with that version there.

 I'm not sure why anyone would get the Wii version unless you don't have a PS2, but I guess if you have no previous version...enjoy your friend codes.
