Ummmm I'm I missing something here ?

Fallout 3, Oblivion, DMC4, Dead Rising, Dead Space, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Ratchet & Clank, Infamous and Final Fantasy from the top of my head.

All those games sold (or will sell) very well, and I would make an argument that both GTA IV and MGS4 were bought primarily for the single player portion of the game even if the MP was to be cut it wouldn't hurt the sales.

That's probably a mistake.

They've said it's single player-only many times. And if there was multiplayer, they would announce that they were going to announce it, and then announce it a week later. They wouldn't do this.

That's one reason why I'm not anticipating that title among others.

The game having multiplayer surely does not get in the way of your enjoyment of the single player portion, no ?

God of War III is for single player, I agree.

If they have a co-op mode, I wouldn't mind. If its any good I will play it, if it sucks, I will not play it.

If it means that the single player mode sucked because of it, then I would be PISSED !

Not every game needs multiplayer. People buy these big name shooters for the multiplayer, not single player games. RPGs, hack and slash and adventure games should be off limits.

This should be in the official thread. I mean what is the point of having one if people don't use it?

Bad idea, no need for it in a game like God of War.
