Forums - Gaming - What Franchises Does Activision Have Left?

Well DJ Hero looks a popular franchise. Btw, I don't think Call of Duty will ever fade away. The series could get only better. You never what to expect from Activision. I think the Call of Duty series will continue until the next generation and then Activision and Infinity Ward will probably come up with something to replace the Call of Duty series.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

They have more huge franchises than most 3rd parties.

...

Unless you want to separate them from Blizzard.

Then, they just have a couple of the largest franchises in the world.

I think it's popular to criticize them though, because they are changing gaming, some believe for the worse. Messing with the PC shooter scene, focusing on profit optimization over innovation, and generally being aholes all around.

However, their greatness as publishers is hard to deny.

Diablo III, Starcraft 2, MW2, Guitar Hero Metallica, Prototype. Good games upcoming and out now. Blizzard and Activision aren't in bed with each other. They are the same company, right? The company is called Activision-Blizzard or something like that.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Singularity could be a great game. I'd keep an eye on that.

Onyxmeth: Blur seems nice, Call of Duty is HUGE and aside from that, most of those are "meh" tbh

I think they should kiss the lucky stars that Blizzard is in bed with them...

I really don't know why that was necessary. I never gave an opinion on the games, and the thread itself doesn't call for one. I just listed off the franchises, and you had to respond to me to let me know that these are all "meh" franchises? I don't give a shit. I didn't ask for a rundown of the worthwhile franchises on the list. I'm just assisting the OP.

Sheesh, it's just a reply to how big those franchises are. Excuse me for being alive. If one were only to give the franchises they have, the thread should've been closed by now, since the answer has been given. Forgive me for picking up your reply and questioning the true greatness of the franchises listed. Remind me to ignore your stingy replies.

I don't mind if you do this in the thread where it applies. It just didn't apply to my post. I made a simple list and am then getting asked about the legitimacy of the franchises in question. If I had an opinion on the matter and explained it I could understand the rebuttal. I just felt like you were turning your nose up at the list I made, and frankly I don't want to get into that with you or anyone else.

It also wasn't a reply to how big those franchises are. That I would have welcomed. It was a reply where you called out the quality of the franchises in question. "Blur seems nice" and "most of those are 'meh' tbh" are not ways to express how big the franchises are. They're ways to describe your personal opinion on the quality of them. There are quite a few franchises there that have very respectable sales that are not named Call of Duty.
