I will be disappointed if NSMB Wii does not sell more than all MW2 sales combined including pirated copies LTD. People underestimate just how many will buy this game over time

See, legs are defined by the game and genre rather the platform. Modern Warfare had fantastic legs, and I see no reason in the world why Modern Warfare 2 will stop short.

EDIT: For reference. Modern Warfare sold 33k copies last week with World at War already released and Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon.

Spot on ioi. NSMB will sell consistently for years to come and surely outsell MW2 (360 version) at the most by the end of next year.

I don't see any issues here - he didn't make a big deal of the MW2 thing in the first place and what he has said on the matter is largely true. I don't think NSMB Wii will outsell the 360 version of MW2 by Jan in the US, but it won't be a million miles behind (3.5m vs 4.5m maybe) and will outsell it later in the year.

And Modern Warfare 2 will not have anywhere near the legs of Modern Warfare 1.

Why do you say that? Probably because its a sequel.

I would rather have people stop asking Reggie about games not on his console, and start asking him about those games his company sector does not localize or is completely unaware of. NOA has to start fighting this holiday and next year for some customers, and Nintendo's Wii is getting killed by the PS3 in Japan. Their software is constantly failing to sell; I want to hear what they are doing about it.
