For comparison, Steam had a peak of around 1.86 million within the past 24 hours.

On MW2 there were 400,000 people online and im guessing PSN will have had about 1 million online.

The fact that the Steam peak was similarly-sized (even though the game is dumbed down on the PC) certainly puts some comments about the PC market's size into perspective.

Steam pretty much stays around that number regardless of game release(with the normal daytime fluctuations).  Here are the stats for Steam on people playing the top 10 games on the service:

only if you set it to, the sad thing is CS>MW2 atm lol.
