Forums - Sales - World Wide Sales UP! -- Xbox 360 see's MASSIVE RISE, PswiiDS Maintain!!

I am sure that the Europeans have not such a big problem with the 360 because of the failure rate. I think its because they want money for Onlinegaming and the prices for Wifi and HDs are incredible high. how much for Wifi adapter. I can buy 6 for PC for that money.

Ok a 120 gb harddisk for Xbox360 costs 197 Euro on Amazon. Thats about 300 Dollars. For 197 Euro I get 4 Usb external 500gb Harddisks and have still money to go to Mc Donalds and buy a DVD.

Its just a rip off plus if you buy 5 years online you payed 300 Euro. And then the Hardware has still big problems compared to PS3. And you dont have Bluray despite you invested so much money in it.

Its not the high failure rate. Its the combination of everything. I guess mainly Online fees are the problem. If you buy an Elite you can have to add just the Wifi but the online Fees are the main reason. Because people which are not playing this much or dont have time to play so often but want sometimes play Online they dont want to invest 60 Euro per Year.

The PS3 offers a lot more value then the Xbox360. Europe is lost for MS if they dont reduce the Price for the Elite to 199 Euro because then it would be on par with PS3. The Arcade is just for people which definetly dont want a Harddrive because with a Harddrive its a lot more then the Elite.

Probably not, but stuff like this didn't stop Jeremy(from Top Gear) from owning a Ford GT.  He complains a lot about the problems, but then admits he absolutely loves it.

Jeremy is just a bit better of financially then the average joy making a little more then minimun wage aint he, he can affored to have that pos fixed every week.

Theres a reason Tpyota is the world biggest car maker, people want reliability not a Fix or repair daily issue.

But with the 360, like the Ford GT, if you are willing to put up with a few issues, the experience is fucking great.  And luckily for me, I have yet to have any issues with mine.

So.

I like many are not willing to put up with that a few issues, i pay $$$ for things that work.

Normal people don't want to rely on luck for their product to work as it is supposed to work.

and the question here is... why people keep supporting bad products?

Because its got great games that appeal to them & they don't break down at all anymore

Let's not go too far...

It's a shame that Europe and japan aren't wiliing to embrace the 360 the way they have for the ps3 and the wii.

Actually the shame is that NAmeriacs support such shoddy hardware as much as they do, the lack of demand for high quality very shameful.

Dude Amen for that =), someone understand me i dont get how people buy such as low quality

Then how did everyone buy the PS2? That was the worst hardware last gen.

Show it was any where near the + 30% defective rate of the 360.  Hell Eurogamer said at first 360 defective rate was as high as 68%.

No console has ever been shit on by the media as much for its shoddy hardware.

i'd say the ps2 had a 15% failure rate atleast. That would be atleast 21million consoles. Yup more than the 360s overall number yet sony did nothing and it still sold. SO i guess europeans and the rest of the world are foolish too to buy low quality hardware.

PS2's been out a lot longer.  Dead 360s died quick.

Unless Xbox360 becomes cheaper than PS3, I really doubt that it will surpass the PS3 sales world wide in the many weeks to come

If Natal ends up all that, at a lower price, and steals the motion control thunder from Nintendo, things may change here.  Nintendo didn't lead in sales because of price, but because it did something different.  It is too hard to forecast anything now, outside of the big three doing what they can to dominate.  That is what one can predict.  They won't stay still in order to do what they have to, to come out on top.  Does anyone think Microsoft ISN'T going to try to go after Nintendo, as opposed to just battling Sony?  Both Sony and Microsoft are targeting Nintendo, which explains the motion controls angle.

OUCH uncharted 2 blow 50K!!!!!

Others sales haven't been added yet.

I know, I expected more in NA thats all

No, you didn't. What you expected the game would sell in 2009, it sold in 2 weeks. What you expected it would sell LT, it will sell in 2009.

Face it, when you predict normally, you overpredict, and when you predict low, you underpredict massively.

And if pigs fly, it will be a huge blow to the pork industry.

Natal isn't going to steal motion control thunder from a 3 year old, extremely popular motion control system in the middle of a generation.

Last time I checked FORD is doing great now. Sure they had problems but thats due its unions cause in America we treat our employess fairly. But the unions went power crazy and resulted in this.

HAHAHAHA.  You serious about that?  America treats employees fairly?  You mean, paying them what the market can bear, and then discarding them so you don't need to pay their pensions?

Tell me about it:

And you would wager on this?  I wouldn't wager against what Microsoft is doing.

I would wager that there would be fewer NATAL cameras in homes than Wiis by the end of this gen, if that's what you mean.

What generation? A new console every 5 years seems out of the question unlike past generations. I don't know what Mircosoft plans are but I bet they are not thinking about 720 anytime soon since another $300 plus console is a very bad idea.
