Forums - Nintendo - Resident Evil 5 on Wii “possible”

I don't need RE5 for the Wii. I already hace it for my 360.

I wish a REAL RE2 remake!!!

Nintendo and Nyko settled the lawsuit under the agreement that Nyko will be allowed to sell a redesigned version of the remote. This could mean that Nintendo let Nyko apply for a license to sell a Nunchuk clone. This may not happen for Sony.

Whoops, missed your response the first time. Again, you're correct in the details, but you have to keep in mind that Nintendo's permission really wasn't required for Nyko to release its second version of the Koma. It was wise to do so as part of the settlement, mind you, as patent litigation gets absurdly expensive, and spending a few bucks to buy patent peace is a wise (short-term) move (see also: patent troll), but if Sony comes up with its own nunchuk-like device, it'll probably pass muster with the American courts at the least.

re5 on wii.

Y'know what's sad? That game (the original PlayStation version) was still more enjoyable than what I played of 5.

5 was decent with a co-op partner, but it differed from 4 in that getting the super weapons actually made it less fun rather than more, which is bizarre.

I'll take your word for it. And to be fair, I didn't beat the whole thing, or even get halfway through, so maybe my opinion would improve. But the original Resident Evil was Magic from the get-go. Good times, good times.

RE5 on Wii. I'd buy it as long as NOTHING is taken out content, option or feature wise.

This is RE 5 on a sub par PC, Wii is better than this, but by how much? This using the very low end 7300GS video card playing the benchmark at 800x600, Wii's 480p is 720x480.

It wouldn't. The early part of the game was easily the best. It kind of started going downhill once you saw the guys in grass skirts, or El Gigante.

noname am cry now. I guess it's true: RE w/ Mikami >>>>> RE w/o Mikami.

If most of the village is just background, that looks about what the Wii version would look like, but the textures would be more like RE4 and Chronicles instead of this filtered look.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

You're not taking into consideration even at the lowest quality there is more going on there than a typical Wii game. Such as the amount of polygons used, amount of models on screen at once, large detailed environment, shader, lighting, physics, etc.

I just have a single core processor with a Geforce 7600. My computer can play games like Unreal Tournament 3, Half-Life 2, Fear, and Quake 4 on high settings. I was even able to play Bioshock on medium settings. I'm reluctant to believe the Wii can do any of that.

Edit: Well maybe the Wii can run a few of those games, but only with low settings and poor frame rate.
