I bought MW2 and I have to say I'm quite dissapointed.  MP has many issues as the posters before me have stated and the SP is quite bad. There is nothing innovative or original its as if IW thought of some things they thought would be cool,made levels around their ideas and then threw in a story thats really pretty bad. IMO MW2 deserves an 8 at best...I've definately played much better games.

 

If MAG/BF:BC2 are extremely polished they could do quite well.

MAG is more fun than MW2, though it doesn't quite have the same graphics. BF:BC 2 will be like battlefield series(huge maps, tanks, planes and the overwhelming advantage they provide). MAG is all about doing objectives, killing enemies/aim is less important. If you're looking for something new I'd go with mag, it will be the most different.

How bout all the glitches that reveal your position? I just love when they make a game where your body parts magically stick through the walls and fences letting your enemy know that you are standing there. I've found 3 so far and two of them are on the snow level. Atleast one of the times it was me who was doing the killing and the other guy doing the magic. It's not like they are on the outskirts of the map where no one ever goes either. They are in prime spots that have a lot of action going on around them. I really don't understand how the company that made COD4 would let all this slip through their QA.

Really? I've never used the Scar and I find the Famas to be meh at best. I love this game. You get complete different reactions based on the weapons. True diversity.

The buzz/hype level got WAY out there for MW2.  I could feel it before launched.  Check out my thread asking why it is a day one purchase, and you see "Well EVERYONE will be playing it".  I personally think it is very good, but isn't up to the hype.  I know one guy who is a Halo fan who found it awesome on my 360.

Campers hiding behind corners and walls? Just fucking blow open a hole. Guys camping on top of roofs? Mortar their asses.

 

Coming soon: BLOW UP THE ENTIRE FUCKING BUILDING DOWN

Not sure how much of a game changer it is.  Red Faction Guerilla does this, and it hasn't change any game.  The designers have to construct buildings so they didn't fall down.  As far as I see it, RFG hasn't caught on as a game change at all.  Now, maybe BC2 can add something to the mix, but I wouldn't necessarily bank on it either.  I can see it supplanting Call of Duty as the PC gamer's choice for modern FPS combat, if MW2 isn't accepted by the community.  It won't be because of total environmental destruction, but because it has ties to the Battlefield series, and they attempted to beef up the single player storyline.  I really liked the characters and story of the first Bad Company.

I never played Red Faction Guerilla so I can't comment. But I do know that DICE implemented destructible environments perfectly, and completely changed FPS play for me. So I don't have to bank on BC2, it already succeeded with BC1.

Single player for Bad Company was SHIT.

And I feel like most people buy games just because of a name =/ Not because of gameplay.

Use the Scar it is hands down the best gun in the game. It's the only gun where you can shoot accurately from distance and you can take someone out quick from close range and it's an automatic. My brother said the same thing about it he thought it sucked then he started playing with it and killing everyone. He was like wtf? And of course the gun he primarily used before that was the Famas cuz all the other guns suck. To be fair I have about 5 other guns to unlock but from all the ones I got so far they all suck pretty bad. I keep trying them out but they are terrible. The RPD should be called the CP3 cuz all it does is dish out assists. You can hit enemies but your teammates will kill them before you can finish the job with that shitty gun. Most likely with their SCARs too lol. Same with the FAL. It's pretty powerful too bad up close anyone with an automatic will kill you and from afar if someone is running it shoots too slow to kill them and from a long distance it wont hit shit cuz your spraying one bullet at a time so if you do connect someone will move before you can kill them.
