Still a teen

They all turn 23 over the next few months so it's not that bad. But yeah, they've done their PGCE's and this is their first year of proper teaching, it's so odd to think of. The one's school was on the local news last night too. I might get to lecture University students this year too, that's just wierd :-/.
Don't worry about being 21, it's a pretty fun year. You get the best of both worlds, you are given real responsibility for the first time ever and you still get to party.
An as for wasting life, I'm pretty much the definition of wasted. If all goes well I'll be 26 when I leave University. I'll have ridiculous debts to pay off and be much poorer than all my friends at that point.

That is one incredible upside. I can make people call Dr *Insert my real name here*. It would be great because my girlfriend is a doctor (a real one) and many of her friends are too, I'll be able to fit in (In title at least). Hopefully it all works out for me.

Quiet you...

Yeah I was in the pub with my mates tonight and we realised just how old 22 is lol. Out of the seven of us there, four of us were teachers, two were in their full time vocation of choice (One of whom has just bought a house) and me who's doing a joint masters to PhD... My mate brought up the point that this is pretty much it now, we're becoming old. But I know when I'm 30+, I'll look back at being 22 and wish I was that young again, so I guess it's all good lol. |
What's your major?

I'm hoping to start a research project for PhD that is to develop anti-occlusion techniques for live Chromakey based production. I'll be looking at developing stereoscopic production methods, live human - CGI interaction techniques and whole load of other stuff too. It would mostly be computer programming for four years. But I'm still waiting for project approval, which is really nerve racking.

LOL, I have no idea what those topics mean... But good luck in your research.
I always wondered, how long does it take to get your PhD after Master's? And is there a minimum length requirement for your thesis?
