Which one would you recommend more The Conduit or this?

"Honestly thats it, its the best FPS on Wii,"

try reading the post.. n shit

But thats what he said when The Conduit came out.

Which meant it was the best when it came out, but that was before. This game now tops it.

Yeah things have progressively gotten better, W@W was a great FPS on Wii that lacked a great story, looked great at some spots even some "Whoa Wii can do that?" moments, great online gameplay but lacking in modes and maps still didn't keep me from being addicted.

Fast forward The Conduit comes out, MUCH improved graphics though needing a bit on artwork and textures, a much better story, still relatively linear design like W@W, they set the standard for control options and number of online modes, maps, players, and talking to yur friends.

Now CoD MWR, sports really impressive texture work and scale, uses fully customizable controls, an epic story that is also very movie-ish and intense.  Then it sports the most robust online, while lacking Wii Speak functions, it has BIG maps, no lag to speak of, all well designed, essentially it took the good from W@W and the good from The Conduit combined it and made an even more solid package.

Times change and the genre progresses, next up with all the content, texture work, customization, etc with added Wii speak functions and an online mode like that of Guitar Hero 5.

MWR: Karaoke Edition?

I agree 100% with Maxwell. Modern Warfare took everything WaW did well, combined it with all the things The Conduit did well, and brings a lot of new great things to the Wii as well.

16 well designed maps, 13 game modes, 10 player online, no lag, lots of tactical gameplay styles, amazing controls, solid framerate, good visuals, impressive scale, terrific story telling and immersive animations. This is the definitive Wii shooter.

The only things that are missing are: more online players, better lighting, and use of Wiimote speaker.

I'd give the game around 88%.

I so suck online it makes me sad. I wonder if lag is hampering me cos I am sure my shots are going in, but no deaths. Gah!

I'm not sure how the aim assist works. Is it just like in the single player where you use Z?

Yes.

This is fantastic, thanks for the thread Maxwell!

Yeah... I'm definitely looking for that one FPS to have on my Wii system. I'm not much of an FPS fan, but that doesn't mean I wont have an itchy trigger finger once in a while (TimeSplitters satisfied that urge during the GC age ).

Looks like I'll be buying this game for sure... now the only question that remains is when...

This is a comparison video of the PS3 and Wii versions, we all know which looks better but its now easier to tell side by side what the differences are, and honestly it's not too far off.

Got a link that doesn't have this ad as a video overlaid with no close button?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Your impressions seem to be a bit contrary to IGN's review.

I'll go with this, but I guess we'll have to wait for the official review.

The bolded is questionable, as already discussed, Bozon got some facts wrong that were corrected by a treyarch developer, then his opinion part of the review has been trounced by popular opinion and while I would agree that he can have his opinion I also have my own, and its simply the best FPS on Wii.  The Conduit can't be directly compared due to different gameplay styles, but for gamers like me this is a real step up.

Stop saying multiplayer has every mode! It's misleading and I'm bitter about it!

(I know you say it's missing split screen later, but the IGN guys for example only mentioned that in the final review...)

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
