@atma

Expect FF13 to outsell DQ10....2:1 worldwide

that aint happening

FF13 has the crown till FF15 which may take it

I didnt talk about numbers but about quality. Otherwise the best JRPG of this gen is still Pokemon.

Of goodness, you're quite presumptious about Dragon Quest X despite not knowing who the developer of the game is.

Pretty obvious it'll be Armor Project/Level 5. Still, FF > DQ. Though I did like DQ VIII better than FF VII...not as much as VIII or IX though.

I doubt it'll be the next FF VII or whatever. Versus XIII will be better anyway :P Same with Tales of Graces.

Well, we don't know that yet. I'm sure it will be, but it's obvious that the game is no where near release.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I personally always preferred DQ over FF series that's why I said DQX will be better.

I don't want it to be Level 5 this time

Armor Project should do it

PLAY DQ5

its a superb game, I never thought I'd like a DQ game

but this is so awsome!

DQ5 has the best story in all of the DQ lore. You get to play through the whole life history of your hero, it's so massive, it spans three generations

@lestatdark

I'm enjoying that a lot!

@Darth

I loved the story on DQ5 a lot, it was actually the thing that held me through the game, since to me it has one of the simpler gameplays in all DQ's.

no, 13 won't make you want to gouge your eyes out.

(yes, I'm a bitter Nintendo fanboy who is upset that 7 went to the PlayStation after being promised on the N64)

lol imagine trying FF7 on an N64 cart.

how big are N64 cartridges? would FFVII need to be on at least 2 cartridges? lol XD

around 80mb. so it would be around 26/27 carts

Considering they used uncompressed FMV, yes it wouldn't fit on a N64 cart, but the N64 was superior in 3D graphics and didn't make every round object super pointy (Laura crofts boobs for example would poke your eyes out on the PS) They easily could have made those in-game cutscenes instead or compressed the FMV.

Anyways, as others have pointed out, the real question is will it be the next FF2 (FF4 in Japan)? (which is really one of the better Final Fantasy games)

Without the cutscenes, the game would max out at least one disk (700mb).

The largest N64 cart was 100mb (RE2) and that cost Nintendo an ass load of money to produce.

There is no way they would have had the resources to ship multiple carts or have one large enough to fit the game on.

Nintendo made a mistake staying with cartridges.
