Well corss game chat was the number 1 most requested feature done in a poll on the Playstation website. So you are right not everyone wants it, but more people want that than any other feature.

As far as I remember, Sony talked about Facebook integration on the PS3 way before MS showed anything about it for the 360.

For Vgchartz if you turn off javascript it runs just fine, you cant use the reply feature in the forums but is runs pretty smooth. Sony just needs to adopt a 3rd party browser or get Java to run correctly in their browser.
