Am I the only Wii owner who is sick and tired of the way game journalists treat our system? It's been pissing me off for a long time, but today I found the straw that broke the camel's back. I present to you IGN's preview of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex Edition.

First of all we get an apology that the review of the game isn't already up. Apparantly it's because there were no early review copies.
So why not? Well we know that Infinity Ward is pissed off this game even got made. They recently made those comments about the reason they don't want Wii versions is because it won't offer the same 'experience' (yet apparantly DS versions are OK.) Then Activision do zero promotion for the game, in fact if you look at the only four offical screenshots before the game release they UN-promoted the game.
There is a story there. But we likely won't ever hear what it is. GOD FORBID WE COULD EXPECT GAME JOURNALISTS DO ANY ACTUAL JOURNALISM.
Then in the next paragraph we are told that multiple console owners should just go buy the 360 or PS3 version instead.
I am so fed up with that stupid attitude. Has it really still not dawned on these idiots that the reason why people buy a Wii is becuase they value the control over HD graphics? I'm not going to buy an FPS for a console with dual analogue controls because I DON'T LIKE THEM. If other people prefer the 360 or PS3, fine. I have no problem with that. I fact I can understand the appeal of HD graphics and a controller they have probably been using for years and have grown to love. It's their choice and I don't run around telling them that they are idiots and they should play the Wii instead. So how about we get reviewers who understand the Wii's appeal and write reviews from that viewpoint? Is that really too much to ask?
Then Mark Bozo the Clown goes on to say the game's framerate and controls ruin the game. Strange, becuase I've had the EXACT OPPOSITE experience with the copy I bought yesterday. Solid framerate, great controls. Could it be that maybe, just maybe, Mark had a chip on his shoulder about a Wii version of what is regarded a HD console classic before he even played it? I don't know for sure, all I know is that he advises people to go buy Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 instead.
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2.
I am still angry that I bought MoHH based on the IGN review. The game was crap.
So apparantly the full review is coming soon. I don't think I'll bother reading it.
