So im over at Xbox.com and looking thru forum post,and i notice people have Rep, so why not have rep here at VGChartz?

Rep is basically how helpful you are

Rep can be earned 2 ways

1. Providing helpful post. Such as the "My HDD is dead" thread, people who answered it with helpful post should get +1 rep. Only mods can give rep, because if random people could give it away everyone would be at level 10 rep.

2. Helping the site, Editing game info and adding pictures

Rap has 10 levels

1- You start at one

2-You need 20 rep points

3-30 points

and so forth all the way up to Rep level 10.

What do you guys think?

Its nice as a extra. Though we have other things to tackle. Like giving us a reason to save up VG$ and spend it on things

But a rep system would help see the most helpful people on this site.

but VGchartz are material guys, they only respect people by sound of their money flapping

Umm, VG$ is kind of like rep but not exactly the same. I do think it would be a good idea if implemented properly.

The only way - the ONLY way - rep would work would be for mods to be the only ones capable of handing it out.

I'm not sure if that would work too well either...

I would say all staff but I know I would abuse it very quick....
