I bet some of the people who said the OP has no life for calling a few stores, probably spend more time than that posting crap at forums.

I have a question for a Yank.
I've heard a few times on here that when you buy something in America you have to add tax onto the advertised price. Is this true?
So a $99 360 would be over $110?
Good to see the 360 is doing so well Walmart had to give a 100 $$ to get it to Pass PS3 In its OWN territory
Atto Suggests...:
Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series
Game - Metro Last Light
TV - Deadwood
Music - Forest Swords

I do.
Though my problem isn't with wasting time so much as it is wasting other peoples time calling about a product you aren't going to buy.

Here's the promo ad - it says offer is valid 'til November 15 or while supplies last. Also the gift card can't be used on the 360; it's for future use only as stated on the ad. Let's stop the $99 for 360 arcade thing. LMAO! I can't believe you called up six nine different Wal-marts for this. Come on man... |

This is sad. Because 360 is likely to outsell the PS3 in America by 80+k people are bitching it's because of wanting to sell on Ebay. The PS3 was never home and dry, and to think M4 would not get the 360 ahead of the PS3 again this gen was wishful thinking. The 360 has spent more time in front of PS3 this gen sales wise, and will do for more of the gen. M$ no what they are doing. Sony made a desperate move releasing a Slim 2-3 years early. M$ have that option left, plus rereleasing for Natal ( And the media hype around that is some of the biggest Ive seen for a console ).
Fans who are writing the 360 off, are either gonna get egg on their face or never post here again out of shame. M$ are very smart this gen. Just watch.
This is almost as foolish as putting your birth certificate online to prove that you are born in the US, sorry obama
This is almost as foolish as writing 100+lines in a political thread, sorry kasz/madskillz
This is almost as foolish as cold calling sources to get an idea of how many units will be sold in a certain week, sorry ioi

Hey, if I have time, I'll call it like I see it.
Look, just drop it. I wasn't the person who said I called 9 Wal-Marts to confirm a deal or such, for a system I don't own.
You were the one who felt the need to do it. As much as I love gaming, I would never, ever do anything even remotely close to that. Then, to admit it - to post in great detail what I did - you better be ready for some backlash if you do.
What I said in the election and before it stands. Just because we have different views on gaming consoles and their popularity shouldn't make a difference.
I am not trying to personal attack you, but when you do something petty and announce that you did it, and don't expect anyone to say anything? Oh wow.
KBG29 did it and was proud of his achievement. You did the same thing - to dispute what someone was doing.
You know, I did ask an associate there if the deal was still going on - she said no. Cool. But I didn't go there to dispute something or the like.
Like it or not, it's your own words - and quoted by a few folks. I didn't force you or make you call those stores. You did it with your own free will.

The deal is - buy a $199 Arcade - with tax it's $214 - and you get the Arcade and they give you a giftcard for $100.
The only way to find a $99 Arcade is to use a giftcard, buy one used or buy one from a crackhead.
