that's because it's a counter thread. I was in there talking about it and some questions came up by me and a few other posters such as, how many do you think it could sell through the week, how much stock could they possibly have, how many days will it last...so on and so forth. So, I called to ask one store how many units they had...0... any shipment coming in?....No... Why not?....the sale is over... and it just went on from there. Should I have stopped at this first call?
People here seem to think so. The point is, at least a few stores are NOT receiving any more shipment, effectively ending the promotion early. I thought that was newsworthy, if at least threadworthy, because it's most likely not limited to those stores, and it forecasts much lower sales than initially anticipated.

The promo ad in walmart says it lasts until the 15th. my local walmart has about 10 of these still sitting on the shelf. If you want one you better make your way to NE.

I understand it was a counter thread but as we all know they usually get messy due to people carrying old arguments from the other thread into here too.  I was just suggesting a reason why you've had some stick for trying to provide some evidence to support your stance.

Very true. However, I'm in a pretty small town (6000 people) that just so happens to have a walmart. Which is why there are so many 360 arcades left.

Stock is continually flowing... as a IM Team Member on second shit I unload trucks and with the store numbers I can even log into the system and tell you how many 360's they are getting on their truck that day (as long as the truck is pushed into the system)

Wow, something was lost in translation. Have you seen my post count? I average like 5-6 posts a day. You know why? I have a full-time job, I have a family and not on here that often. And where did I attack him? You attack me for calling out him trying to prove something? You do realize in the grand scheme of things that he's doing this out of the goodness of his heart and Sony could care less about his phailed attempt to *set* the record straight.

What I did was clear - and it's for the reader to decide - I cited two examples of people that have stepped offline to drive their point home. It is so not that serious. That's really delusional. I can't imagine wasting that much time talking someone into buying (or not buying) a console or anything for that matter. Then, taking time to call stores just to prove a point? The word *petty* comes to mind.
