I called 3 other stores and they said "it's only while we have stock and we will not be getting any stock in for the rest of the week".
However, all three stores said "whoever said it's only for one day was just guessing, it's all week long for stores that are getting stock".

Here's the promo ad - it says offer is valid 'til November 15 or while supplies last. Also the gift card can't be used on the 360; it's for future use only as stated on the ad. Let's stop the $99 for 360 arcade thing.

LMAO! I can't believe you called up six nine different Wal-marts for this. Come on man...

I tried to pick up a 360 on that sale, I got to walmart around 7am in the morning since I have work on Saturday anyways. There were like people camping in the electronics section all the way around all the aisles. I knew if i waited they would have been out of 360s before I got to the counter, so I didn't bother... Oh well was only arcade unit anyways, when I get a 360 I'd like to get all that it has to offer.

The Arcade plays 99 percent of the 360 games and you can buy a HD for $20 off eBay. So, for $223 you can have a 360 with a hard drive.

you actually sat there and dialled those numbers.... lol

phone, pad and pen... wow.

anyway... if it was one day but a roaring success we shall see if they repeat it.

Sorry, but this wins the thread, IMHO. The visuals are priceless.

Reminds me of the PS3 fan who was at a Wal-Mart trying to persuade people to buy a Blu Ray player or a PS3. He just volunteered his time to *inform* people and help them avoid making a costly mistake. Wal-Mart didn't pay him, so I guess he's for hire if you need something - besides HD-DVD and the 360 - defended.

Let me see if I can dig that thread up:

The prof's quest sounds a lot like this one: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=262137

Spent 3 hours at Wal-Mart today. I stoped 11 out of 12 people from getting HD-DVD players. I will be spending a lot of time down thier the rest of this year. It is the best I can do to help the less tech savy not get screwed on this half-step format. One couple I talked too went straight over to the games section and picked up a 40GB PS3. The wife said about HD-DVD "We have purchased Toshiba products for over 10 years and we have never been disipointed in them. I can not believe that they would sell a product that is not of the upmost quality." Two other's went ahead and picked up the 80GB which really shocked me , because that is a lot more than they came in expecting to spend. One of these people was an older man about mid 50's he said "It would really be nice if they posted the differances between these products more. Seeing 30 of those GB things compared to 50 really gives you more of a idea about these products than price and names." The only one I could not stop from buying it was this 27 year old guy that said he already had the 360 HD-DVD drive for his 360 in the living room, and he wanted to get this one for his bedroom.

Overall I think the day went well. I was surprised to see so much traffic towards HDM. It seems this year will see a lot of sales in this spectrum of the market. I am going to do my best to try and make sure that these Walmart shoppers in my area make an informed decision before purchaseing into HDM. Hopefully it will help Blu win and put us on track to a medium that will last for a solid 15 to 20 years.

Every store said the same thing. The 360 deal was one day only.
The bolded entry said they are still doing it, but won't get any til' tomorrow morning.
They do shipments Monday night, wednesday, and friday night(for saturday. Deal ends on Friday)
Shipment from last friday, ran out on saturday.
So, of these 6 stores only one will be stocking, in which it will be sold out almost immediately. I didn't ask how many they would be getting.
Anyone else wanna try their local walmarts and find out some more info?
EDIT: NEW INFORMATION
I called 3 other stores and they said "it's only while we have stock and we will not be getting any stock in for the rest of the week".
However, all three stores said "whoever said it's only for one day was just guessing, it's all week long for stores that are getting stock".

OT: Thanks, prof, for such a great laugh. Your display of delusion is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Is this Giftcard limited to Xbox Goods or can you get everything ?

A Family went to Walmart to buy some food. The son knew about this special offer. SO the parents pick up the Xbox and get the Giftcard. They lost 199 Dollar. But they would have bought for 100 Dollar food anyway so they use instead of money the Giftcard. They would have spned 100 Dollar for food anyway but now they have bought an Xbox for additional 99 Dollar. That makes the Xbox 99 Dollar. This is a fact. MS has nothing from the Giftcard unless you can use this Giftcard for Microsoft Products only. Its a 99 Dollar Xbox Arcade this Giftcard is like money with time limitation. And Walmart offers all kinds of goods. And yes you can earn some money with this buy 3 Xbox for 600 Dollar. Sell them for 180 You have got already 540 back with the Giftcards buy a PS3 or another product which can be reselled good. Sell it again with a small loss of 10-15%. And you have earned about 200-220 Dollar. Or keep the PS3 and you have a Microsoft financed PS3. Even if you could not add the Giftcars together you can buy some electronic device (USB Harddrive, Camera). If they would have offered it here I would have made it probably. Its easy earned money. If you have invested probably 1 hour for selling it in ebay and 1 hour to buy it you would have earned 100 Dollar per hour unless you earn more then 100 Dollar per hour its porfitable.

Well, then I guess i'll have to thank you also. Its indeed funny to have a guy attacking someone else on a forum for having no life, doing so in about 4 posts.

At least the OP contributed something to the community and vgchartz, while you, well.....

don't bother with it cloud

It's a catch-22. If I only called one store they'd say "So you're going by what one idiot said ROFL (insert racial epithet here)".

There's no winning with some people.

What's weird is that when I read madskillz posts before about the election and such, he posted with elegance and intelligence but I don't see any of that in here or lately.

For what its worth well done for trying to prove a point for yourself if nobody else.  I don't doubt the numbers ioi posted in the news so the boost this week will be huge but I seriously doubted any chain could sustain such an offer or indeed would want to given the hit on margin they're taking.  The deal probably will continue for at least a week though but stock will not be going out in huge numbers as it's purely a loss leader to get people in stores obviously.

I think part of the problem some posters have had is that the thread title is fairly provocative, of course had it not been that way there would be less posters and hence less $'s for you though.
