OK, Sony fans are the biggest single %. But a majority of respondents are not Sony fans, by nearly 2:1. Nintendo + MS > Sony by 14%.

Yeah, and the % of Sony fans is out of proportion to current relative install bases across the big 3. But even so there isn't the sort of domination by Sony fans that one is lead to believe by those who like to claim such things.

In the top 100 games of all time, the top 10 was FULL OF mario's & zelda's, thankfully FF7 & MGS4 made it

It's a simple observation from the forum. I see many more people acting pro-Sony than I see people acting pro-Microsoft or pro-Nintendo.

I'm gonna guess you've never played UC2 so how do you know which is bigger? U2 is a really good game regardless of what you say.

I honestly dont know anymore, if you look at the total topics list the Sony Forum has caught up to the nintendo forum at a huge amount last i checked it was like 12k to 15k and NOW its 15k to 15k... WTF!?

Well I'm not sure what dating system that uses (mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy), either way, you could easily make a claim as to why that Poll is close to useless.

Firstly, that was pre-slim release. One thing I've noticed over time here is that the rise and fall of fanboy dominance comes and goes with the momentum of the systems. I'm sure a year ago there would have been a lot more 360 fanboys, but now given the PS3 has so much momentum behind it, it wouldn't surprise me if all those fanboys in hiding have revealed themselves again.

Secondly, it's a poll, so it's a sample at best (a broken sample at worst). I've been here for a while and I never voted on that Poll. I'm sure a PS3 fanboy has better things to do (create threads) than answer polls (maybe).

Also, I think it's perception more than fact. Let's say that there's in fact 100 PS3 fanboys and 100 360 fanboys here. In a day, let's just say each of those PS3 fanboys posts 3 posts each strongly supporting the PS3 and only 1 360 fanboy posts 1 post each strongly supporting the 360. Now if a random user happened to read through only 5 threads that day, is he/she more likely to see a Pro-PS3 comment or a Pro-360 comment (not considering the nature of the thread btw) and therefore believe that there are more PS3 or 360 fans here?

I'm not say that PS3 fans have increased or that they are the majority here, I'm just saying that the poll is no where near concrete evidence to prove that the majority aren't PS3 fans.

Personally, I think post-PS3 slim, the sony fanboyism here has gone into overdrive. (but that's my perception of things). For the most part it's been pretty tame, so I'm okay with it (if that is the situation we're in).

Sony fans are more vocal, maybe they aren't a majority in absolute number, but they are more aggressive defending their opinions.

It's because everyone that supports the PS3 is more vocal about it. In my case, it's mostly because I just don't understand why the market ignores the PS3 and adores the 360, when the PS3 is such a fantastic system. I don't care about the Wii, no one I know that bought one even plays it anymore, other than my Wii-only friends.
