I've read it a number of times, but it would seem this poll says otherwise:

OK, Sony fans are the biggest single %. But a majority of respondents are not Sony fans, by nearly 2:1. Nintendo + MS > Sony by 14%.
Yeah, and the % of Sony fans is out of proportion to current relative install bases across the big 3. But even so there isn't the sort of domination by Sony fans that one is lead to believe by those who like to claim such things.
