That would be illegal. You could report the entire corporation.

Actually most boxes come with this sticker that says "Street dated, if sold early call __________" and sometimes even have a little tag about an reward for reporting them (usually like 100 bucks)

That's awesome. If 10,000 people reported them, GameStop would be $1 million poorer.

Actually the fine is rather large and the people get the money from the people fining the store IE the publisher, so they'll fine the store like a thousand dollars maybe, and the person that tipped them off will get 100 dollars of that.

the fine is 10,000 per store that breaks street date. So if every gamestop broke street date... However, the rule is if they find somebody else that has broken the date, then they can too. so if gamestop corporate is involved, I don't think it was them that broke the date initially. Probably wal mart or something.

Couldn't you get your Xbox Live account banned?

Microsoft even said they are banning people who play games
before the official release date. How will they know your copy was
actually bought? They won't. :)

With a company the size of Gamestop, it's highly likely that if corporate called the stores to say they could start selling, then corporate had already heard from Activision (or had a deal with them) that Gamestop stores could start selling.

That said, go ahead and report away.  I don't like Gamestop.
