Forums - General - Has anyone lost their interest in video games since joining this site?

I was just wandering, because I think I have. That's why I'm always in off topic nowadays.

I don't really play video games any more, and if I do then they are usually old games I have lying around (Age of Empires, Tropico, Sim city, F-Zero, etc...), football manager games which I buy seasonally, or occasionally my brothers new games. But it's rare now that I actually play video games, I have an hour or two session maybe once or twice a week.

I dunno, has anyone else lost interest in playing video games since joining the site and just stayed for the off-topic threads? Or am I just the odd one out?

Most of the time I just hang around the off-topic section, then again I did play 40 minutes worth of lost odssessy yesterday.

Won't say I lost interest, am to lazy to pick up a controller and play something.

OFF-TOPIC section just kicks ass.

"Life is but a gentle death. Fate is but a sickness that results in extinction and in the midst of all the uncertainty, lies resolve."

No, but it sure does take away a lot of time I would use to play those games.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Not me. I just got the new Ratchet & Clank yesterday, I'm loving it, and there is a great range of titles that I am really looking forward to, all the way through the first half of 2010. The second half most likely as well

I wouldn't say that I've lost interest in gaming, only that I spend more time on VGChartz than playing games... it all depends on if there are any good games out recently, which if you own a Wii, is a lot of downtime. I think that will change when NSMBWii and Crystal Bearers comes out.

Yo. Although a large part of that is the whole Korea thing. When I go home for Christmas I'm getting, at the very least, sports resort, NSMBWii, Wii Fit, Scribblenaughts and Robocalypse. I might also get Henry Hatsworth, Ghost Busters, Need for Speed Nitro, Rabbids go home, Punchout and lego starwars.

So I'll probably have a fury game related posts after Christmas.

But in reality, for a once well respected and liked game poster slash head mod, I'm barely even worth the mod title anymore.

P.S. Really, Matrix 2 is just an awful movie. Not Transformers 2 awful, but hardly enjoyable by any means.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Ever since I started using my TV as a second monitor it's made it harder for me to play games as I'd rather use it for depositing background apps. :P

Not as such. My interest always goes through peaks and troughs, and even the occasional drought.

Mind you, a couple of nights ago I stopped playing to watch a Horizon (I think) episode on Black Holes, so at least I know I'm not addicted.

I like off-topic, though, and have dipped into a few of your posts.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I do tend to spend most of my time in the off-topic section, but that's due to all the trolling, fighting, etc. in the other sections. There's not that much anymore (or at least less) but I still enjoy off topic more than the other sections.
