You are now saying that obligatorily, the Wii game will be worse than the handheld games or maybe that they will eat into the handheld sales? Why doesn't that happen with the rest of Nintendo's IPs? Pokemon must be the one and sole exception then. Like a singularity, perhaps a black hole?

Come on, if you don't have faith in Nintendo's teams then you are not a fan of them. Allthe other handheld/console franchises found success on both, Pokemon will not be an exception when tons of fans are waiting for them on consoles. Perhaps you are afraid and terrified about a change, but things evolve, the world is in constant change.

Agreed, Pokemon on Console no spin offs, also an MMO, that would help them in the MMO crazy Korea and China markets, and i thought thats why they bought the MAple Story developer for, then again MMO's take years and years to make so probably next gen, launch title is my hope for that.

If this had Trainers in it... it would be the best game on Wii. The graphics and atmosphere are the perfect translation of the handheld games (where, for example, Colosseum wasn't).

You are talking in a condescending way to me. Your tone and the subtle jabs aren't appreciated just because I got a differing opinion.

Also telling me I retreted continuosly from the arguement is a lie, since I've addressed each and every single one of your posts directed at me and never changed the subject. Trying to put a bet on top of the real arguement to divert attention, that's really retreating.

Yeah, kind of hypocrite. But saying that Nintendo will never be able to make the brand stronger on consoles is not believing in them, considering all their past history. When they managed to establish most of their home console games on handhelds, no one came out and said that they were ggoing to ruin the franchises and bleed money. But when someone asks for them to bring the handheld franchises to home consoles, they are probably sinners.

It's not like I'm the only one asking for a 3D Pokemon adventure, and I'm not the first one either. Fans have been asking for it since the N64 era, but processing power might have not been enough before to make an open world game like Pokemon. Wii probably has enough power to do so if we take into account that the PS2 was able to run GTA 3, GTA VC, GTA SA and those were large locations. A MMO wouldn't be out of the question either.

PS: And I never said he wasm't a fan. I said that if he didn't have faith in Nintendo, he was not a fan. Majin said I wasn't a fan. Two totally different things.

You have not actually addressed any of the arguments, you throw up two or three examples and retreat from explanations about how they are different from Pokemon. You want a full explanation? The fullest, what it really  comes down to? Fine.

Pokemon is intrinsically handheld as a series, at least when addressing the main series games, becuase the entire collection and battling mechanic is built around local multiplayer. The whole point of the games is to get together with your friends in the cafeteria, or the schoolyard, or your living room, and trade Pokemon or battle it out in those environs. You and your friends supplement each other's collections until you have caught 'em all, or battled 'em all, but hte point is that you get together with friends to play. Putting it on consoles does more than jsut dilute that experience, it literally destroys the original intent: Pokemon is not a game about sitting alone in one room and playing with people over the internet. That's a perversion of the original intent and we damn sure aren't going to see it this gen.

Now I'm going to get more specific, just because, well, you've convinced me.

You want justification for why it's not going to happen? Money is secondary only to the original intent of the series, and not by as wide a marging as you would like to think. The DS Pokemon games tend to make as much money as they do because they encourage kids to buy more copies so they can play with their friends, and they tie up far fewer resources for far shorter increments of time than a comparable game on the consoles would take. Could they make another team for it? Sure, but why would they when they can capitalize their return on investment by focusing on the handheld titles? This logic, mind, does not hold up for many of Nitnndo's other franchises because they are not intrinsically handheld titles and do not necessarily appeal to the same demographics: not everyone who bought Phantom Hourglass bought Twilight Princess, and vice versa. This hold for Super Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros., and it holds for NSMBW and NSMBDS. Animal Crossing dos much th same, though it's different in that it was supposed to be a lynchpin of an entire holiday!

It's not going to happen. You originally said it would. Now you agree that it won't. You have abandoned your original stated position, and all arguments extending from that point are - you guessed it - void.
