I think everyone has found an great anaology in Halo vs. Killzone and Forza vs. GT

I remember some people claiming 5-6 million even SEVEN million lifetime for this game on these forums before the game even came out, some of them might even be in this thread.

Since GT5:P is at 4 million with downloads included (PD's site), and will continue to sell until GT5 comes out (and even then it might sell a little) I'd say that yes, GT5:P will sell more than FM3 lifetime.

The Killzone vs Halo and Forza vs GT is a great comparison.

GT/God of War/Metal Gear Solid is synonymous with the Playstation brand name just like Halo is to the XBox and Mario/Zelda is to Nintendo.

There is no way Forza is that level yet. It will sell great, but GT Prologue was the most insane sales I've seen this generation. 3.22 Million sales for a $40 demo disc...

we dont know if Forza 3 will have good legs...if not than no!

but like Spartan said its like comparing Killzone sales with Halo sales...also GT5P is only a bigger Demo so even if Forza can outsell it its not that big!

but i think its clear that GT5 first week will beat Forza 3 lifetime sales at that moment!

Yet many predicted Forza 3 to out sale GT5. Funny how a week or two of sales is a cold hard smack of reality in the kisser.

F3 sales will suffer once MW2 comers out, the bundle of MW2 360 will hurt F3 sales even more.

MS kind stuck it between to massive games, Halo fans are still busy with ODST and now they will jump to MW2, Forza is kind the bastard child no one really wants right now.

Another disadvantage Forza 3 has over the GTp is I've got three  Logitech wheels which can play PS/PC racers but not for the 360. Now there is a new fanatic wheel which can play 360/Pc/PS which even though it's a little expensive is great for anyone who thinking about getting into racing sims. But for me I rather spend the extra cash on Iracing and wait for GT5 than to buy another expensive wheel for only one game. I wouldn't buy a new wheel just to play Gt5 either.

Well well well....I hope this opens the eyes of those compairing KZ2 to halo in sales clearly brand name is the big sales bringer for these games doesn't matter if it's great game or garbage.

I remember that too. Those same people were the ones who were so quick to shout INFAMOUS and KZ2 FLOPS OMG! They were the same people who said "Relative to the hype this is a flop" and the same people who said "This game did not meet expectations" I think it proves how immature some people are that when the tables turn no one is giving them a taste of their own medicine.

I doubt FM3 will reach FM2 sales.
