besides they don't need an excuse to not do something they don't appear to want to do. Does a woman need to provide a reason why she said no to her boyfriend?

No, but they actually do come up with this random trash.

A management team which developed the premier digital distribution platform for games... you're full of it Mike.

I think it were their developers who coded this, not the management team.

And I don't know what this has to do with their retarded comments. Steam makes stinky comments good?

No, what makes the comments good is... they actually are true.  Go look at what he said... and it's just true.

It's not true the PSN is more flexible than XBox Live with regard to how to implement things. Developers just have to do more work on their own creating the experience they want.

Also all PS3 owners just like on a PC can play online games without having to pay extra and subscribe, I think that's a major factor as well.

Many people don't think too highly of the XBox 360 online community, far too many young people using foul language or perform otherwise annoying behaviour.

I think you should read Onxymenths post in this thread.  You'd actually understand what the guy was talking about then.

It's fairly obvious that you currently don't know what your talking about.

Or the quick version...

Faliszek replied went on: "In hooking up with your friends and the community aspects, I think the Xbox 360 is head and shoulders above the PS3. The 360 and PC are on par, right?"

What about that isn't true?

It just depends on how you develop your game, they have more freedom with regard to how they would like people to hook up with their friends on the PS3.

It's not like they must use Playstation Home for this or something (although can be nice and unique if well implemented).

I read his comments, to me they sounded more like excuses. I don't agree with them, it's far easier to say "no comment" than all the shit they have been shouting, which will probably hunt them for a long time to come.

It has cross game chat which PSN is clearly going to get within the next month or so, and cross game invites, but in reality they really don't put XBL head and shoulders above psn in commuity aspects?

Sure it does, additionally what puts it head and shoulders above PSN in community aspects is that more people have 360s.

Not all of them pay for online, but less then most people don't care about playing online... but for those who do... it's more likely your friends who also care about that stuff have a 360.

I've got a bunch of friends who want me to play with them on 360... I've got one friend with a PS3... and he doesn't even want me to play online with him.  Just play is LBP levels and rank them high.

You ever try and play a game like L4D with a 3 random online players?  It's horrible... half the time you end up with someone who activly tries to kill your team or won't help your team at all.

Not having a mic isn't really a problem so much as finding people you'd want to play with.

Hence why cross game invites are so important.

So yes.  What he was saying was true.  To make PS3 = 360 it involves a lot of extra developer work.

Your whole post actually reads like nothing more then an excuse.

Is there even a game that enables cross game invites on PS3?

@ Kasz216

You can send an invite using the XMB.

Hit the PS button, select a friend (or multiple ones from the message box) and send a message. You can also start a chat with multiple friends instead while games are running.

Try for example in the launch game Blast Factor and ask friends to play for example Warhawk.

PS3 vs 360 sales

It'll probably take longer to do on the ps3 but it's still possible.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

because sending messages is so much easier than getting and invite that clearly states someone wants to play X game with you and you slip the disc in and takes you to the game... that's not even taking in the fact that the community is more robust and that the system was built around the service instead of tacking it on months before the system launched... when Microsoft intergrates something into Live it works on all games regardless of their release date... they don't have to be patched to use it or coded to make use of it... people don't seem to want to look past the bullet points
