Forums - Nintendo - MoH2 Heroes badly beats Metroid Prime 3 in controls

Most of the visuals look fine...except for the character models.

Their animations look stiff, they're low-polygon models...and as stated in that blurb above me, they disappear right when they die...kind of lame. The character models are what keep me from getting this game, essentially.

I realize gameplay > graphics, and the online play, on-rails segment, etc make this game great...but I've played way too many games like this, and I still don't have much of a reason to buy it. I will have fun renting it I'm sure, but I've too many other games to buy this year anyway.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I have to agree with DonWii with this one. Heroes looks pretty awesome visually for a Wii game. The studio behind it looked like they put everything they had into it in the little time they had to develope it.

I think he didn't really think about what he wrote, after all he's in a hurry to build a second raft.

The hate mail idea didn't pan out?  Aw, that's a shame.

As for my comment, no way in any shape or form did i mean it that way.

EDIT: what the heck just happenedlol, how did this topic branch to speed runs?

Well good about time third parties start getting a handle of the Wii, this along with Zack and Wiki are making me hopeful that third parties are finally on board

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

yeah if we get say half a dozen outstanding third party efforts by the end of 2007 with sales to reflect their success then it's a good start.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

So... it's been said MP3 controls badly put other console controls to shame... and now MOH2 badly puts MP3 to shame?

Jeez, when's MOH2 release again? I'll have to actually get around to playing MP3 before then.

Also... I never got the "I want my bodies still dead lieing on the ground" thing.

It never seemed like a big deal to me. I mean if you have the time to spend looking at the bodies on the ground the game has worse problems then the body disapeering.

I think it's possible MOH2 controls are better than MP3, but honestly I don't see that much room for improvement. MP3 controls beautifully, so I have a hard time believing that this "beats the pants off" it.
