Forums - General - Tea Party Protester Compares Health Care Reform to the Holocaust

Can you read? Did you even read my editorial? Where - show me - did I ever call the game racist? Your memory has fooled you. Please, provide the link to where I called the game racist. And I do remember your kind words to me - never got a chance to thank you for your extreme hate.

And just because I voted for Obama doesn't make me a fanboy-fangirl. Where did I say 'Oh, I love Obama so much!' Because I based Bush for being an idiot?

You should get out more and realize just because someone bashes another person doesn't automatically put them in the other person's camp.

Has Obama made mistakes? Yeah. Is he perfect or the Messiah? No. However, he was handed a glorified mess and for him to make some kind of progress is a task in itself.

I did, indeed, read your laughable editorial. If you found it so unsettling to see Valve depicting black people in New Orleans (the horrors!), I can only imagine what you would have said if they had shown none at all. "No brothers in New Orleans? It's like Bushitler's wet dream come true!"

As for my "extreme hate", I assume you're referring to my asking if you were a black zombie because I couldn't fathom why you should be offended by L4D2 any more than I should be offended by the constant portrayal of white zombies. If that strikes you as hateful - which is a very specific charge, and quite different from accusing me of being childish or flippant (which I was) - you need to grow a thicker skin.

Obama wasn't handed shit. He quit doing his job as a Senator halfway through his term to spend huge amounts of time and money begging the country to give him this mess. Well, he got what he wanted, and unless record deficits were his goal, he appears to be flubbing it. Just because some idiot compares his health care overhaul plans to the Holocaust doesn't make him right or wrong, and the faux outrage over non-issues such as this is political comfort food.

Edit: And if you strike me as an unreasoning Obama fan, it's probably from your repeated remarks to the effect of, "I'm all for free speech, but this is insanity!" The reality is that this is quite a lot tamer than much of what was directed at Bush (and the media and the majority of the Left apparently found such speech unremarkable at the time), and it isn't even limited to this side of the argument: for example, Rep. Alan Grayson calling the status quo a holocaust.

I'm sorry, but no. Just no.

How can anyone compare healthcare reform to the holocaust? It crosses the border of being a sickening comparison.

And that goes for everything, I've heard all kinds of comparisons to the holocaust and each one pales in reality. Hell, I've heard people compare the holocaust with everything from the war in Iraq to drinking milk.

The real reality is that when someone makes the comparison, it is just a testament to the lack rational thinking some people/groups have.

...

What annoys me about the Republicans at times (And the Democrats too, but this thread is about Republicans) is that the supporters often get angry just because they have been told that they should be angry, no other reason. And it leads to idiotic comments made out of the irrational anger like this"This is America, this is not the Soviet Union".

What's a tea party ?

PROUD MEMBER OF THE PSP RPG FAN CLUB

Can't we just do in RL what we do online? Anytime someone mentions Nazi's, Hitler or the Holocaust in anything other then a historical debate, we ignore the person as an obvious troll?

It seems like the RL media hasn't gotten apst that point yet. "Oh, Hitler, Real intelligent you cocksucking troll now let me proceed with ignoring you".

Republicans and conservatives protesting the government for ruining America led by Republican politicians and Fox News (Fair and balanced).

A lot of these people didn't protest about Bush wasting money on Iraq and creating more big government than Clinton and bailing out the banks, but now they remembered to protest and Fox remembered that it was 'fiscally conservative'.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Leave it to halogamer to agree that long hospital lines are the equivalent of mass violent genocide. Paying for somebody elses hospital bill is also like being shoved naked into a gas chamber with hundreds of other men women and children, packed so tight the door to the gas chamber barely closes.

Yeah, this seems about right. Good analogy people.

really tasteful jackass.

That's a real screw job isn't it. Fox being "Fair and balanced" pisses me off. You get people quoting Glenn Beck or Bill O'Reilly and then saying that it is a fair and balanced opinion because Fox says so. But it's really not and that escapes some people, it is about as biased as news stations can get and just because they say it isn't doesn't make it so.

As I said earlier, some people don't know why they're angry, they just are because they have been told they should be. I reckon half of those people wouldn't exist without Rupert Murdoch.
