This might be the best PR VGchartz ever had.

Well done!

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Everyone in the industry recognises the value of our data, it is only forum fanboys and GAF morons who continue to insist that there is something wrong with using it.

1- I didn't know that

2- Can you tell me the western release date of FFXIII on pm

i wont tell anybody i swear

I'm not sure why - we did spend E3 in meetings with most major publishers and analysts about using our data, the industry takes us very seriously, the internet (for some still unknown reason) doesn't.

Yea but i mean in the form of a financial report. Sure they use it in speeches or interviews, but never something official like a year report from a well known company

Haha, I love it, instead of maybe admitting that we could be right with our analysis and figures, they decide to flame Squeenix. As if Squeenix didn't know more about the industry than them.

Completely hilarious

Oh this makes my day... can't stand the superiority complex of mos GAF members so glad to see them taken down a notch.

But no this not to much of a surprise because as ioi said, only those who are illogical and have little understanding of the matter (or purposely biased) don't see us as a source for what we provide.

Cool. Is there a potential for publishers to let vgchartz know whenever they send out a shipment of software?

For instance, let's say Assassin's Creed initial shipment is 4 million units. We always hear about that shipment through press releases, blogs, etc.. What we usually don't get to hear about is the follow up shipments after the initial one. Would publishers be willing to send you that data?
