Forums - Nintendo - Crystal Chronicles--Crystal Bearers: A hit or miss?

an Action adventure game is exactly what FFCC:TCB is and this is why it did not light up the charts in Japan. However, it will light up the charts in the west.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Absolutely.  Especially if Square-Enix markets it well.

Seriously, though, Japan needs to have its Wii market reinvigorated.  Thank god for NSMBW and ToG.  Without them, Wii REALLY would be in a pickle.

I'm sorry, but 26000 first day is bad and the shipment is irrelevant. That just means the retailers had low projections and they were right. Unless there are some excellent legs, I fail to see how SE will be pleased with the games sales.

It's not like i'm some hater either, I definitely plan to give this game a go when it gets released.

Probably hit or break a mil WW, depends what they invested into the game. As discussed in another thread on "Flops", a flop is in the eye of the developer. If they make a profit, its not a flop. Time will tell how much success the game has.

I think it's a too soon to tell. This won't be a game decided in the early weeks. I think it'll miss, but it's too bad as it looks solid.

The OP is doing soooo much unneeded Damage control...RELAAAX

For what it is, I don't think first day sales are that bad.
Had it been a main FF then...that would be something.
For a 15h action adventure game, it could have been much worse.

I'm not sure. I just know I will be buying it.

Besides, Famitsu reviews are crap. They gave Red Steel, yes that bad Wii launch game, a 34/40.

Seems to me that low first-week sales are more of a death sentence in Japan than in other regions, though after all that advertising, i'm rather surprised

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
