I expect this game to end up like Phoenix Wright. Retailers didn't expect it to do anything, but it's gaining cult status, so it's going to be sold out everywhere because of tiny and nonexistent shipments for the next 2 months.

I walked to Blockbuster, the same one where I bought Halo 3 (don't laugh), and I couldn't find it. I saw Billy the Wizard, Transformers, Bratz, every crappy game you could imagine on the Wii, and yet I couldn't even find one of the best ones.

I hope that happens. Word of mouth can be much better than 90+ scores on metacritic. I wish ZW is some kind of anti-Madden, poor sales on first week and long legs.

I have not gone a Z & W hunt yet, as I do not have the $$$ for the game (though I will next month!). I did, however go on a Mercury Meltdown Revolution hunt at the mall on Thursday. Only one of the clerks had heard of the game (he had played it on the PSP).
MMR is a great buy, but even greater at a budget price of $20.
I will be getting Z & W in the first of November, assuming that I can find it.
On the topic of third party sleeper games, MLB Power Pros is a really great game IMO. It reminds me of the very first RBI baseball for the NES (I game which I enjoyed imensely back in the day).
There were like 8 copies on Thursday at my local Wal Mart...so it doesn't seem like that bad of a shortage.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
Do retailers wanna see 3rd party bomb on the WII or what???!! This is so pissing me off!!! I don't know if this is the same matter in Japan, as first day sales are lousy and that really hurts my true gamers spirit.
Edit: bought my JP version yesterday, but won't get it until next week :( Also got FF Tactics A2, Ash and bought Mario Strikers after all for a bargain.

I saw this at my EB games here in canada. they had more copies of this (4 copies in stock don't know how many they got in total) than Eye of judgment (2 in stock, they got in 4) which i assume is a good thing. eye of judgment seems like a total niche product. though i've heard of people having trouble finding eye of judgment too in the US, Canada & elsewhere.
Demon's Souls Official Thread | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka
I bought the only copy my Gamestop had gotten.
I saw that the EBGames I shop at near my work had 2 copies left on Friday for the game. The guys that work there are usually in the know about games but this time they had no clue what Zack and Wiki was and why I wanted it so bad (I'm in there quite a bit and they expect that I would buy the big games). I just told them to go to IGN to find out why the game is so awesome. I don't know how many copies they originally got into the store. As I said before, I will be buying this game for people on my shopping list. Hopefully some of you guys end up doing the same.
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
I got mine yesterday at a Microplay. He had two copies and I got the first one. It was the first place I went so I didn't have to check any Future shops, bestbuys or EB's.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.
Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
