Wow. The same for Raw64life from neogaf : "Yea, just went to my local Best Buy, Walmart, Toysrus and 2 Gamestops and nobody has it. One Gamestop guy said to call around 4-5 and they might have it, but I'm already preparing myself for disappointment."

It's strange. Most of the stores seems not to have it in the database. Perhaps Capcom do the same for Okami PS2 release ?

Around the Network

I found Okami pretty easily near launch. This game is on the games list for my Gamestops and EB games but they have no shipments scheduled...

Looks like the people making the shots for some stores just took a look at the game, and figured "Heck, it's a third party Wii game. No way it'll sell."

Hopefully the public outcry will be enough to make retailers realise that this is a quality game that lots of people are actually looking forward to.

Btw I just checked my local store, and apparently they're not going to be getting Metroid Prime 3 this week (launches on friday). The idiots still think we live in Sonyland. -_-

Well Phoenix Wright 1 was almost nowhere to be found at launch, but Capcom kept releasing small reprints and it kept selling. I'm sure everyone would rather have it sell fucktons immediately, but if not hopefully the game's sales will have legs like PW.

I just picked the game up from a Gamestop. They said they just got their shipment in around noon-ish. Its a small Gamestop and I was the first to buy the game and they only had one copoy left. Another Gamestop I called had sold out of preorders and the extra copies and the 3rd gamestop in my area had one copy left.

well, if one is optimistic, maybe it'll sell like Carnival Games, which I had trouble finding copies when it came out. 180,000 units in 8 weeks for wiki would be unbelieable sales.

the Wii is an epidemic.

I fear that this game was carried in stores like the previous budget titles I was interested in, Dragon Blade and Ninjabread Man. This is a far better game from a bigger developer, and is much better of course, but I fear most stores will not realize this.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt

I walked through Wal-Mart and Best Buy today and neither store had it. At first I was excited because I thought it was sold out but there were no spots for it at all so means they hadn't stocked it yet.

I went by Gamestop later to pick it up and they had just opened the box with the game in it (1PM-ish) and the clerk had never even heard of the game until I asked for it. He asked what it was about and thought it was some anime game so I have him a quick rundown on what it was and why it was important.

I want this game to do well. ;_;

Yeah, well now I have to wait for it to ship.

Oh well. I'll just be jealous of those of you who found it in stores.

I called a few Gamespots. I ended up driving 1 hour to a store that actually had it. Playing it right now. Loving it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are literally no sales for the first week. It seems like we may have another Katamary on our hands. Shortages for the first month or so.
