Forums - Nintendo - New Play Control series sucessful?

- 300,000 copies sold total

- 380,000 copies sold total

- 190,000 copies sold total

- 970,000 copies sold total

- 250,000 copies sold total

- 30,000 copies sold total

So far the most sucess NPC game is Mario with almost 1 million copies sold. Now the NPC Metroids have been maded into Metroid Prime Trilogy so I counted it. I think Nintendo should of waited and made Pikmin Trilogy with Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3 just like MPT.

I'd call them successful, especially given that most people interested in Metroid Prime Trilogy would probably own several or all of the Prime games anyway.

well for a motion system, i think so.

lol, in a nut shell the answer is yes i do think its successful. hopefully it will be the same for god of war collection.

Id say successful ... but a waste of time. Nintendo could have been working on a fzero wii for me, or star fox ... not waste time on this

Sega For Life - Gaming Died When Sega Died ... Sega <3

The nintendo before - ' wii release ' <3
Sega before ' Software Only ' <3

Anti M$ (Therefore anti 360) - im making it official ... Go play your meaningless FPS Games ...

Yeah they did okay for re-releases (actually most of 'em sold better than I thought they had!)...

Interesting (or predictable) to see the Mario related title sold the most...mebbe they shoulda re-released Mario Sunshine as well...

(I bought Pikmin 2 myself, not necessarily for the new controls but cos it's one of my favourite gc games and I lost my copy...but it was pretty cool with the new controls!)

Seems pretty successful to me. Sales in the hundreds of thousands for enhanced rereleases. I'd say if they sell 10% what the orginals did it's a success.

Nintendo would be stupid to release Pikmin as a trilogy without having Pikmin 3 available as a standalone for at least a year beforehand. A lot more money in that.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy
