...On top of the new of the expansion pack, EA also announced a price cut for the suggested retail price from $49.99 to $39.99 beginning today. Fight Night Round 4 launched back on June 23 and received an 8.8 from IGN.

That seems odd, it's not like it was full-price to begin with. Maybe EA wants to build some momentum for the title, or they just weren't satisfied with the sales.
