Sorry but the PS3 is far from actually outselling the Wii in Japan yet. The Wii has sold 8.6 million units in Japan and the PS3 is only up to 3.7 million. Sony is going to need A LOT MORE than a possible meager gain against the Wii this year to make the claim of Japan's sales leader or to close the huge sales gap.

No it doesn't. It has part of its launch software set... With Gran Turismo 5 also rumored to be usable with it. I think so far there is one game confirmed... Resident Evil 5. Which is by no means a bad choice. Im surprised the WIi didn't get a RE5: Wii Edition actually.

We already know why the Wii struggled in 2009, even Iwata admitted why, so why does anyone need to give an excuse? The facts are already out there. The point of this topic was whether PS3 can outsell the Wii in 2009, in Japan, not why Wii struggled.

I don't need to troll Ken, he trolled himself, that's why he's no longer at Sony, lol Even if you include GT5, it still doesn't have the games to target the expanded audience, its games are targeting the core audience

Even if the console numbers come out in the Wii's favor, I think PS3 will definitely make more money in Japan this year than Wii because it selling so close to Wii as it is and it costs significantly more than the Wii console.

I agree with you on that one actually. And GT5 doesn't go to just the core, it goes to both markets. Thats how the games manage to sell massive amounts.
