I gotta go with the Snes. To this day, I can still play Tetris Attack, Castlevania IV, Super Punch-Out, Super Mario World, or Chrono Trigger. The PS1 has some great games (especially when played on a PSP), but for the most part, the 16-bit era has actually aged better than the 32-bit/64-bit era.

Great, great memories with both consoles, no doubt. But if I went back and played both today (and actually, I do!), the SNES experience is going to tarnish my memories, the least. Thank God for the PSN and VC.

never had either but i think ps1 sounds so much cooler...

Did you ever expereince either? If not, I can't count a vote here.

It's not reasonable to discount a vote because of a lack of experience. If you do, then a lot - a lot - of votes are going to have to be discounted due to people never owning a PS1 or SNES.

Also: I'm going with the SNES.

Vote: SNES

Reason: The first console i ever owned, the first console in my opinion with a comfortable controller, mainly innovative games, and strong developer support. An amazing amount of single A, AA, and AAA - RPG's, Fighting, and Action titles. The first console to fully encourage and support Co-op experiences.

Games owned: I have since sold all of my SNES games, however up until 2000 i had approx. 60+ titles, and well over 200+ SNES Roms for PC emulation.

Why do you do this??? :( Now you have to make me choose between my two most beloved games of all time, Lufia 2 or Parasite Eve....Gahhhh, Snes T.T
