Forums - Microsoft - Would you buy a Microsoft handheld?

tedsteriscool = LOL

End of 2012 prediction:

xbox 360 : 73-75 million  playstation 3 : 72-74 million  wii : 104-105 million

Most hyped for :

Bioshock: infinte, The Last Of Us, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and Agent

no, i have 2 reasons, i don't like handhels in general and microsoft consoles are made for less than 5 years, i want something for long time like sony platforms

Favourite Games:

PS: Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy VII. PS2: Resident Evil 4, Shadow Hearts Covenant, Final Fantasy X, Silent Hill 4, Soul Calibur III. PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted 2, Mototstorm PR, God of War III, Modern Warfare 2. Xbox: Suteki, Fatal Frame II DC, Jade Empire. 360: Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey, Dead or Alive 4.

Well, their Zune line up has gotten really good that I know hate the fact that most of my music is connected with itunes but if they can do a handheld that is as good as their latest Zune (with good games of course) I probably would.

Probably not, maybe if there is an exclusive gears game or something.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It would need a few things before I decided to pick it up.

1) Great games, and a big screen.
2) Compatible with my xbox 360 (have it integrated somehow).
3) Either have free live support or have it so I can use my 360 live in conjunction.
4) It has to be affordable (this is the biggest concern).

I really like my ds, I just wish it had a larger screen. Even with both together the ds screens are to small.

no, it would probably have a bunch of halo games, but if it had gears, and forza then maybe

I regret making this my username, I made this name when I was 13 years old

Life could always get worse, you could be a mod for Neogaf

My original xbox is working after all this time and so is my original zune.  The only real quality problem microsoft has had is with the xbox 360 so I don't think bashing every other thing Microsoft makes for "bad quality" is fair.

You do realize that Sony has had problems with quality in the PS1 and Ps2 correct?

sure- IF.. it ran on a 3.5" 720p res screen, if it had a dual analogue stick function and if it tied in with my LIVE GOLD a/c- and had atleast 5-6 hrs gaming battery life.

I definitely would.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

I would buy it on 3 conditions:
A long warranty (>2 years so that we don't have to pay for new ones when they rrod)
A screen with at least sd graphics (480x853)
Halo to-go

And I'd probably wait like a year for them to iron out the kinks with their first foray into the handheld market.

I'm not a fanboy, I just don't enjoy dual analog control.  It's d-pad or wii-mote for me.

the conduit has changed the way wii play games.

I know.  I'm sick of the puns too.
