Well thats 2 copy's sold in europe then lol
It doesn't look that interesting to me, but with all 10s from Famitsu I'll have to at least consider it, if not immediately then when it drops in price...
I guess I'll see what the people here say about it.
Nintendo of Europe and America are going to collaborate with Capcom with the marketing of Monster Hunter 3 in the respective regions. They are completely supporting the game to get it to sell as much as possible.
I see that this game will be more successful that the other PS2 games in America an Europe. It depends on the marketing strategy.
It will sell between 1.3m - 1.7m worldwide, of which 1m - 1.05m in Japan.

Europe won't buy much of it (they barely buy anything anymore), but America may be around 200k-400k. So low end: 1.25m (1m JP, .20m NA, .05m EU) High end: 1.51m (1.01m JP, .40m NA, .1m EU) |
Those predictions sound about right. But I'm interested to see how many more copies can sell through in Japan over the holiday. I think it'll get a modest boost and hopefully end up at about ~1.2million.

Just imagine how great the online would be....
There are really so many factors; how critics outside of Japan will receive it, how well Capcom markets it, how much support Nintendo themselves put behind it. I'd hope it would be good enough to hit 1mil in America alone... I know optimistic but the game seems quality enough to accomplish that.

I know what you mean. The "monster" graphics are great, but the character and environment graphics are just ok. Gameplay looks like it could become repetitive and borring as well. Kind of like a beat em up game, except your foes take forever to kill. If the RPG elements are strong enough, it could well be worth the oney though.
I think it'll hit Capcom's 2 million target by March, it's already 1.1 million in Japan alone. A western Nintendo push can do a lot, just ask Level-5.
