Well, it's usually Tuesday in NA, so maybe all of the release dates above are ship dates. That would make it likely that April 15th is the European ship date for this game and the NA date would be a couple days sooner, or a couple days after.

Many big games aren't released on Friday. The Friday rule is basically for the UK, but MGS 4, GTA IV and now MW 2 have(will) been released on other days, and it would make sense for FF XIII to be released on another day. It seems very likely especially as SE are making a point of the fact that they are doing a NA/EU simulataneous release, whereas FF XII was released on a Friday, and came out six months after the USA

I know, but this is the type of game where the Friday rule can be ignored, and this is a French site, that rule barely applies, more and more, Europe is getting games on Weds or Thurs, it is mostly just the UK stuck to Friday

FF13 will be the biggest HD title of next year
so it should be released on ONE DAY EU/NA imo like MGS4 is!

Of course I am getting it day 1!!!!! Exams are a month after it, and while you are on study leave, you will not be working all day, and FF XIII will be the perfect game to relax to after a hard day of work. During my GCSEs, I got through over 90 hours of FFX....
The only problem I foresee is other games getting in the way. The games that could come out around this time are GT 5, Red Dead Redemption (I am very excited about this game) and Mafia II, but XIII does take priority over everything else!

+ by then we'll have offers anyway & my friend said all he needed was a B in the final exam to get an A overall

Have you seen the screen shots Rockstar have announced? They are just stunning! I just need a release date, but FF XIII does matter more
