I currently own a PS3/360 and i have found that there are more and better exclusives on the PS3, the only games that i think are good and i own for the 360 are HALO 3, left 4 dead, gears of war 1 (I own part 2 but it sucks) and to be honest no one wants to pay $50 a month for an online service thats bassically a downgrade (when compared to the PSN) and if you want to access the internet wirelessly you would need to purchace a wire less add-on for the 360 for $100, and batteries for the controller every now and again.

now a list of things that the PS3 has included that the 360 doesn't
1.Free online play
2.wireless included
3.internet browsing
4.bluetooth
5.and plenty of PS3 titles like:
metal gear solid 4, little big planet, resistance 1 and 2, ratchet and clank TOD and ACIT,                                                           heavenlysword, MAG, inFAMOUS, Uncharted 1 and 2, Warhawk, Motorstorm 1 and 2,
god of war 3, heavy rain, the last gaurdian, Killzone 2, Lair, MLB 09 the show,
ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2, Socom and many more.

THATS 24 games with that many great titles i see no reason why you should get an xbox 360.

you would need to pay a minimum of $490 for 1 year and $590 for 3 years (not including tax) for your 360 to get most of the features that the PS3 already has and trust me your 360 is only going to gather dust because your not going to use it at all. so if u want to save yourself over half a thousand dollars, do yourself a favor and dont make the same mistake i made by buying a 360.

"This kind of post #445565456"

1.Free online play     -> XBL 3 € a month, better services
2.wireless included   -> Useless for gaming / the bandwidth of XBL is so superior that you don't want to spoil it with wireless
3.internet browsing  -> Useless for gaming
4.bluetooth               -> Uselss for gaming

Anyway, you take a console for the games library... not that kind of stupidy....

"Anyway, you take a console for the games library... not that kind of stupidy..."

thats a funny quote considering the massive number of titles i just mentioned

and thats kinda retarded because people love to access the web browser on the PS3 its very convinient and free online beats paying for it anyday also over half of ppl who have access of the internet use it wirelessly, so wireless included is definetly a plus

with bluetooth available to you you have much more of a variety of different mics you can use instead of only having 2 mics to choose from (360)

I say go for it.

I would get a PS3 as my 2nd console as well, but I do not even have the time to play all the 360 games. If I had more time, I would get a PS3 for some exclusives.

More consoles = More win.

yes i would get a ps3 if i have enough time to game which will probably be next year.

Don't get a wii.

Go with a 360.

no, he should get a wii. ideally, he should forget that the 360 exists until he at least has a wii.

Do you have a capable PC? If so, then you won't miss out on very many 360 "exclusives." If your PC isn't up to par then sure, by all means get a 360.

He is gonna miss halo, gears, fable, alan wake, natal, most xbla titles and some other stuff. From your point of view he is not missing on anything because your not interested in any of the things mentioned above but from his point off view since he is considering buying a 360 for these exclusives so his point of view will most probably be the opposite of yours.

Well, he can still get Gears 1. Alan Wake was coming to PC, but not anymore . Natal is supposedly coming to PC in some form. And big hits like Splinter Cell: Conviction and Left For Dead 2 are also coming to PC.

If you have the $ and the will, yes. Have fun.

Wow - I love the way PS3 fans are quick to say 'Don't get a 360.' And then, they try to sell the OP on getting another PS3 or keeping his PS3.

It's about the games. And buying a PC won't get you Gears 2, ODST, Forza 3 and a grip of newer games. MS is cutting this off.

Ask the PS3 fans why you should pass on a 360 - without saying these standard Sony Defense Force talking points.

They can't mention:

Free PSN
No Wifi
$50 a month for LIVE
RROD
Tons of upcoming exclusives

When a pro-PS3 cat can come in and have a reasonable convo about why someone shouldn't buy a 360, I'd listen. With that said, Words of Wisdom's ignore script would work wonders in this thread, when PS3 fans don't have valid arguments.

No there'll be a new box out next year wouldnt bother unless you are desparate for an expensive hair dryer?

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

For the love of......Okay. Anybody who doesn't own a 360, get the fudge out! The guy has a PS3, can afford a 360, and is considering buying a 360. The console is awesome. Yes, the PS3 only does EVERYTHING. He knows. He owns one. Why is it so wrong for this guy to buy a 360, too?

So basically your giving him advice to  spend more money to get a pc that will give him less games. WOW!!! You need to really stop giving advice. 360 has a lot of exclusives that wont come to the PC. Not to mention that a 360 is cheaper and requires less hassle
