Wait wut is NSMB?

@yushire
May I ask who is that girl in your avatar?

New super mario bros. and my avvy was Haruna kojima

@puffy----> So Malstrom was right about core gamers after all. I dont want to be frank but SMG isnt the "revolutionary title" on mario 3-d games either. Yeah it have high production values yeah it have many levels but its not different from other mario 3-d games either... Though the explosion and flying part was good though. But then Zelda TP was GOTY too even many fans were disappointed with it including Malstrom including me after I've seen OOT on youtube and it looks like the same, only with incremental upgrades.

Now your credibility's gone: you haven't even played it? How could you compare anything, then? You just follow other people's opinions?

Otherwise, i agree with puffy's comments: you just can't compare NSMBWii to SMG in terms of innovation... it has the "wow factor", it has everything needed to please the Mario fans and many gamers who simply want to have fun, but it's not revolutionnary by any means, except maybe its multiplayer gameplay... but "revolutionnary" would still not be the right word to describe it...

And btw, yes, most people are "expecting NSMBWii to be an extremely good game in terms of quality"... when Miyamoto does things right and takes his time, he's the best game designer in the world, and if some people still don't understand this after 25 years, they should just get a life and stop doin' lame comments...

Now, GOTY? In the heart of most Nintendo lovers, sure... and isn't THAT the most important thing? Who cares about haters and snobs, and people with totally different tastes in gaming? Just know what's good for you, and enjoy...

I'VE PLAYED IT. Have you read my last post after that? And what credibility? I wont say anything about SMG if i didnt played it. if not, this thread will be barely 1 page long.

And yeah are you talking about NSMB wii or SMG on the wow factor because you didnt mention what you're talking about.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Oh thanks!

Btw I think MHTri has better chances than NSMB just my 2cents.

He was talking about OoT, that you haven't played.

wow factor was with Galaxy, isn't that obvious?

Well to be honest, unless MW2 knocks it out of the park I would think the overall honours are likely to go to Uncharted 2. It seems unlikely that any other game will get higher overall reviews than it before the end of the year.

I'm sure NSMBWii will get a few nods but unless it's all kinds of awesome and then some it won't get overall honours.

Any game with 'Wii' in the title will not get GOTY awards.

Who's game of the year there are so many awards. It seems like 4-5 titles win this every year.

How does a game get goty
If graphics is an important factor then forget it...
But I know I'll have a blast whent this game comes! :D

Muramasa = Wii game of the year for me

Demon's Soul = PS3 game of the year for me

Still thinking = PC game of the year have to play a couple more new releases first

*getting all kinds of errors on this site today :(

To the bolded: That's just blatantly untrue. It's expected to be fantastic.

I expect NSMBWii to be a very fun ang good game, but I don't expect it to be in the same league as SMG (like I do for SMG2). If you beleive otherwise that's your opinion and you have every right to have it (though it's like expecting the next dreamworks animation to be in the same league as the next pixar animation).

You will forgive my impertinence on this matter, I hope, since you said "no one" was expecting it to be great, when very many people, in fact, do.
