I don't see how punchout is more mainstream than animal crossing. The mistake with animal crossing is that it should have been a DS game. It is more suitable to handheld systems where you can log in for brief periods when you want, or when some sort of event happens; people know this.

Bruceongames is a jerk who insults anyone who doesn't agree with him. Maelstrom doesn't do that (he'll carefully explain his position, which to some people is worse). The SDF is a joke site.

So he's not a version of either of those.
