It's common sense? Obviously if Home was a massive success and every ps3 user was spending 100 hours a week in/on it they'd be yelling their tits off about it. But they aren't, they're releasing teeny bits of information like the one quoted in the op. "56 minutes per session" What the fuck does that mean? Doesn't tell you anyting about how long people actually spend in/on home

It means exactly what it says...

European Home users spend an average of 56 minutes each session.

I don't see how you can sugar coat it... Because they're not screaming off about people doing 100 hours on each week HOME (since those people aren't), that makes this line a lie??? I don't understand the reasoning here...

My point exactly.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Thanks for clearing that up. Engish is my first language, though. I thought my point was pretty clear but i guess not. I meant that it doesn't really tell us anything about overall home use. It doesn't tell us how many regular users there are, or how often they actually use it, and it's only for 1 region. Of course it's not a lie, it's just an irrelevant, unimpressive fact. And because it's so irrelevant and unimpressive we can tell that in reality Sony aren't all that happy with how Home is performing.

Or perhaps they are not boasting about it now, waiting for the holiday season to see how it maybe improves.

MS isn't saying anything about how 1vs100 did yesterday, must mean it sucks...

"Show us the real figures Sony"

I get what you're saying dude and indeed it doesn't tell us much. I was just replying to that.

I know. I think he meant show us all the relevant figures rather than accusing them of lying, cos how could anybody know if they were true or not

They say it's doing well. I believe them.

Yes very good. Wrong though, and I'll tell you why. Sony are bragging about home as best they can with this stupid figure. They're making it seem as successful as possible by cherry picking one statistic that might sound impressive. Can't blame them for that but it's very very obvious they aren't thrilled with it.

In all likelyhood Home costs considerable money and is an additional drain on the purse strings. Currently the effort is being pushed on shifting hardware so I do not find this suprising.

I am sure they will return to home when things improve.
